The physicality of a "surreal" place both paradise and trap with its objects of Tuscan countryside culture are the themes of this series of paintings. After taking distance from this difficult place there is a gradual and careful coming back to a "home" I needed to escape from. We all need to feel we belong somewhere, a place where our story began and that is "us". A place that speaks about our history. We can't have a future if we don't have a past.
